Cumberland Runners up at the North West Junior Challenge

Congratulation to you all for a superb effort at this week's North West Junior Challenge finishing a close second behind Pennants Hills. Cumberland can be extremely proud of the representation you all showed this week. The team spirit at Ashlar today was second to none with all players continuing to the end through torrential rain. I'm sure you all felt like walking off but nobody was prepared to let the team down.

Cumberland Juniors take on Norwest Junior Challenge.

The best of luck to our Cumberland Juniors entering the Norwest Junior Challenge held at North Ryde GC and Ashlar GC on January 23 & 25.  Representing Cumberland will be Matthew Camilleri, Michala Ford, Gilbert Lee, Vanessa Lee, Patrick Nicholls, Isaak Pemble, Kura Poko and Bryce Roach.

Eddie Devine wins Yamaha Cart Raffle

Congratulations to Eddie Devine, winner of the Cumberland Yamaha Cart Raffle. Eddie's ticket was drawn by Wayne Trefoni, National Sales Manager of Yamaha Motor, in front of around 150 Cumberland members.  As a long term member of Cumberland Eddie was a very popular winner and will soon be seen sporting a new Yamaha electric cart on the course. A big thank you to Yamaha for their continued support of the Club.

Major Pennant Team Selection

Congratulations to the following members in their selection to the 2012 Major Pennants Team. Daniel Auremi, Paul Barton, Mark Hay, Trent Mills, Josh Russo, Adrian Welsh (Team Captain), Ryan Williams, Richard Wood and Matthew Wright. Graham Long is the Team Manager. Please extend your best wishes to these players as they represent Cumberland.

2011 Match Play Plate

Congratulations to the winners of the Match Play Plate for 2011. A Grade was won by Joshua Russo who beat Richard Wood 3/2. John Bannerman won A Reserve beating Stephen Golden 3/2. B Grade was won by Peter Lambert over Michael Reilly in the battle of the left handers 2/1 and C Grade was taken out by Kerry Agars over Eddie Gielarowski 5/3.

Cumberland Senior Order of Merit will be held Thursday 8th March 2012. The $50 entry fee gets you a SOOM game at Cumberland and a Chinese banquet lunch. The event is an 8am shotgun, phone 96313878 to book a golf cart.
