Cumberland Junior Classic
Our Junior Classic is held in April each year and will be on April 12th 2012. Last year we had 105 entrants who took away over $1,300 in prizes with the two big winners taking away a Nintendo Wii. Get you applications in soon and remember to practice for the big day.

Junior Membership
Junior Golfing Membership at Cumberland is broken up into the following categories:

Junior Programme
Junior golf assists in the development of young golfers before their introduction to full golfing membership.
Our Cadet Training programme has a focus on the following aspects for children up to 13 years:
- Golfing basics
- Etiquette and Rules
- Swing drills
- Short game
- Putting
Cumberland Cadets also participate in the PGA Schweppes Junior Shoot Out and skills challenge. Cadets then progress to Junior Membership when their golfing skills are sufficiently developed.
The Junior Training Programme consists of trialling for Junior Pennants and Encourage Shield qualifications. From May to November the training focuses on:
- Swing technique
- Advanced short game
- Skills Testing
- Course Management
- Novelty events and guest coaches
Selection to the Junior Pennants Team or Encourage Shield Team involves matchplay games at selected golf courses across Sydney against Junior representative teams from other Clubs.
