LADY CAPTAIN’S REPORT

Good luck to all ladies competing in the 2025 Ladies Singles Championships. Please see the Conditions of Play for detailed event information.  The first round will be on Tuesday 14/10/25, then seeded rounds on 21/10 and 28/10.

Congratulations to Seo Jeong Park, winning this year’s Caddies Trophy with a fabulous score of 40 points.

The Caddies Trophy is awarded each year in appreciation of the wonderful group of ladies who give up their time to support our Pennant and Representative players throughout the season.

The Inter-Club Shield team played at Stonecutters Ridge on Monday 15/9.  Our team had an enjoyable day out on the course and in the club house after the matches, celebrating the overall winners Cabramatta’s victory.

In my 40 years as a member of Cumberland, it has always made me extremely proud of how patriotic our representative teams (both male and female) are, and the way in which the players, caddies, managers and supporters, bond together to represent our Club.  Well done team Cumberland!

Good golfing Ladies!
Tracey Hilton (Ladies Captain)

Well Hello again from the Pro-shop.  Yet another huge month for us here as we start to heat up and begin the run up to Christmas.

If you haven’t had a chance to come in and check out the all new proshop then you are missing out.  Super modern displays, a new layout and look but still with the same great range and prices we are famous for.  Our new food station has been very popular with a great range of sandwiches now available every day.  Keep an eye out for a premium coffee machine coming soon.

As the weather warms, we have the last of our winter apparel now on sale at up to 50% off so make sure you take advantage of these ‘end of season’ bargains before they sell out.

The next Fitting Day on the calendar is Mizuno on the 30th of October – spaces are limited so make sure you book in quickly.

The 14th of the month sees our first Callaway Wedge Clinic for the season.  From 5.30 to 6.30 on Tuesday the 14th, you get an hour of expert tuition and walk away with a premium Callaway fitted wedge.  As always, these spots go very quickly, so contact the shop and secure your booking ASAP.

Sundays in the coming weeks will also be hosting some fantastic short game clinics coming up throughout the month.  Keep an eye out for specific dates, times and skills or just pop in and grab the details over the next few weeks.

That’s all for now, have a great October and see you all in the shop
