Major Pennant Report – Round 3 vs Long Reef
Round 3 began under ominous skies, with dark clouds looming offshore. Despite assurances pre‑game that rain would hold off, a heavy downpour arrived within the first 30 minutes.

Fortunately, the weather cleared soon after, setting the stage for an excellent day of golf.

The opening nine holes were fiercely contested, with Long Reef holding a narrow advantage at the turn.
While the final scoreline suggests a comfortable margin, it did not reflect just how close many of the matches were throughout the day.

Duncan Bowen continued his outstanding form, securing a strong 3&2 victory and remaining undefeated after three matches.
Isaak Pemble delivered a dominant performance with a convincing 5&3 win.
Hayden Smith showed great composure to halve his match, sinking a crucial birdie on the 18th hole.
In the reserve match, Sean Moylan produced a hard‑earned 3&2 victory, adding valuable support to the team effort.

Final Result: Long Reef 4.5 def. Cumberland 2.5
A huge thank you to all the family, friends, and members who came out to support the team. Your encouragement is genuinely appreciated and always makes a difference.
